I do not want a vacuum for Christmas, thank you.

When Brian and I moved into this house together, I decided to buy a cheap vacuum for the hardwood floors. Brian has a heavier duty model, but it pretty much died last Christmas when he was cleaning up needles from the tree in my apartment (we went with short needles this year).

So the vacuum that I bought sucks! No wait - it doesn't suck? Whatever - it's terrible. And my brand of lazy tells me it's easier to use a broom -and then- a Swiffer, than to lug the sucker (ha!) up from the basement.

When Grady moved in and we discovered that he's not the most delicate litter box user, we went out and bought a $40 Dustbuster to enable us easy clean up of the litter spewed around the box. I had my doubts, but it works wonderfully. So wonderfully in fact, that once I start vacuuming the litter, I cannot. stop. myself.

Last night, in an effort to make the house more presentable for the arrival of Brian's parents next week, I vacuumed the entire house with the Dustbuster. I really wish those things came with longer handles.
