As a precursor to our vacation next week, Brian and I visited the traveling carnival in Locust Point. Flashing lights, kids laughing, the smell of cotton candy. It's just about as good as summer gets.
Brian's cousin Monica is in town for a conference this week and we had the distinct pleasure of taking her and her friend out last night.
My favorite part of the evening was after we had finished dinner at Kooper's Tavern. The four of us walked over to Bertha's where some nice gentlemen offered us their barstools. A fun Dixieland Jazz band was playing as we enjoyed our drinks and talked into the night.
